The SAMHSA Project

Connecting People With Positive Change

The SAMHSA Project is funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA).

The SAMHSA Project was developed to enhance and expand substance abuse treatment, outreach, and HIV/AIDS services in African American, Latino/Hispanic, and other racially and ethically diverse communities.

The Project creates an enhanced system of direct services for hardcore drug users; develops a system of wrap-around support services, in addition, the Project enhances the service infrastructure to support families where there are substance abuse and/or mental health issues.

Program Services Include:

  • Alcohol and Drug Treatment
  • Mental Health Services
  • Rapid HIV Testing
  • Parole & Probation Advocacy
  • Child Protective Services (CPS) Advocacy
